Kary López Barreiro, an artisan from Mexico City, debuts this month as a new collaborator with www.athensaliversmith.com.  López Barreiro showcases her knitted Mexican and pop culture artisan dolls and key chains. All products are  cotton and hypoallergenic. Key chains are stainless steel. Three  years ago, the self-taught designer began promoting Mexican culture through her handicrafts. Her keychain collection features Hello Kitty, Harry Potter, Homer Simpson, Care Bear, a teacup, an axolotl (Mexican Salamander) and dog.
